Folk and Acoustic Music Clubs and Venues
Acoustic Sussex - Acoustic Sussex (this refers to Sussex, England) promote acoustic or semi-acoustic singer/songwriters and other musicians, whether their music is folk, country, blues or the downright unclassifiable (don't you just hate music categories?). Unlike the folk club scene, our events are mainly concert-style performances. Whilst there may be a support act and/or MC, there will not be 'floor spots' of the kind often associated with the more traditional folk clubs. And unlike pub or coffee-house 'walk-in' gigs with their background chatter, our audiences listen attentively to the music. The artists we promote will generally be established, professional artists - but we also provide a platform for support slots (and other opportunities) for up and coming artists, including more local and/or amateur acts.
