Come and Watch a Session

So What is a Session Anyway?
Sessions take place in pubs.  They are free to get into.  You'll usually see a range of performers singing folk music, but also blues, country and other ‘rootsy-type’ acoustic music.  Anyone can bring a guitar, fiddle, harmonica - or for that matter anything else - and play and sing a couple of songs.  The pub will make its money by selling beer.  The audience gets to see live music free at an intimate venue, and the performers get to do their stuff in a supportive and un-pressured atmosphere.  In other words, everybody has fun and everybody gets something of it.

Sessions in the Milton Keynes area (UK)
If you live in the U.K. and you are within range of the Milton Keynes area, there are a number of good sessions in and around Stony Stratford, which is itself near Milton Keynes. There is a good session at The New Inn, in New Bradwell, near Milton Keynes on the last Monday evening of each month and another at The Crown, in Stony Stratford, on the second Tuesday evening of each month.  You can often hear me play at both of these, often playing duets with Ross Fergusson. Have a look at our MySpace page, where you can listen to our version of Lord Franklin. Or see our website (http://www.peterwebster.org.uk/peterandross.html) for latest news.
